Keep your head warm, and nostalgia in your heart with the hand-knitted R2D2 beanie. I first read about it on TechnoGad.

I believe it was first made by Mary at Excessively Diverted. I don’t believe this is available for purchase. But if you know how to knit, you will be happy to find the R2D2 knit hat pattern here.

If I lived in a place that actually HAD winter, I would definitely wear this! And of course we would have one for Twilli too!

Would YOU wear one of these hats? Please leave a comment and tell us about the craziest beanie you ever wore.

I love this hat! I’m not a knitter, but I do crochet. I might have to figure this one out someday. It’s a winner. Thanks for sharing!

I came across something like this a couple of years ago and I’ve been trying to the pattern to get my wife to make it for me!

The strangest one I’ve worn was possibly my friends bright pink and yellow one that I wore the last time I went skiing. It woldnt have been so bad as I could hide most of it under the hood of my ski jacket. The only problem was the bit you could see was a foot long knitted daisy that was stuck on the front of it. I’ve always remembered to take my own after that!

My little guy would just start following any kid around that had this on.
